Today, in the afternoon, we did test of the new dance program. There were some problems, and it was difficult to tell whether they were software or performer-related. One of the main things might be that the instructions are currently running at the maximum possible speed. A composite video of the performance and the computer file which generated it is being rendered over the weekend and hopefully this will provide some diagnostic help to disentangle exactly what is happening.

Leo spent the entire day in isolation, as he has done on his previous visits and produced 12 compositions for accordion, with recordings over the course of the day.

Elsewhere, everything else moved along at a good pace - tomorrow will be dedicated to preparing for the week of workshops starting on Tuesday. These workshops are open to students of Leiden University College, The KABK and Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague and will be looking at the theoretical and practical side of mass-producing art.

As part of their residency at GEMAK, The New Fordist Organization will be running a series of three workshops for students of Leiden University College, KABK, and Koninklijk Conservatorium student in The Hague.

The workshops are entitled:

Culture, Politics And Economics: The Aesthetics Of Mass-Production

Led by David Pocknee, Ana Smaragda Lemnaru and Miguel Peres dos Santos, the workshops will look at the conceptual and practical aspects of the mass-production of art.

The workshops are free, will be run in English and are on the following dates at GEMAK, Pavilijoensgracht 20-24, 2512BP, Den Haag
